After a month at sea and another month delayed in customs at the port of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania the containers were released. Director Gillian Handley and Designer Helen Lewis travelled to Tanzania to oversee the refurbishment of the Safari Lodge.

The three containers were loaded onto trucks at the port of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania and had to endure a 10 hour drive to reach Beho Beho, The journey was filled with problems – heavy rains delayed the trucks, several broken down trucks and strict deadlines regarding entry into the Selous Game reserve also meant further delays for the containers. Three days later than planned the containers made it into Beho Beho. The refurb could begin…
